A vetted tutor for your child, matched by a real person.
Tell us about your child, the subject, and the schedule. A Learning Advisor shortlists tutors we’ve checked ourselves — you choose, and lessons begin with progress you can see.
What can we help with?
From exam prep to a first instrument. Tap a subject to see how we can help.
School subjects
Core subjects, from primary through SHS.
Don’t see your subject, or not sure where to start? A Learning Advisor will help you choose →
How it works
The advisor does the vetting and the matching, so you don’t have to.
Tell us about your child
Subject, level, and what feels hard right now. Two minutes.
We shortlist 2–3 tutors
A Learning Advisor proposes tutors we vetted ourselves.
You meet and choose
Talk to them first. No pressure, no lock-in.
Lessons begin
With a record of what’s covered and how it’s going.
Ready to find the right tutor for your child?
Talk to a Learning Advisor. Tell us about your child, and we’ll take it from there — vetting, matching and the first lesson.
Every tutor has already passed six checks — identity, references and a live demo lesson — before we ever suggest them. Once lessons begin, you see every session, every note and every payment in your own dashboard, and if a tutor isn’t the right fit, tell your advisor and we’ll put it right — usually by rematching you with someone better suited.
Teach with Trellis.
You bring the teaching — Trellis finds the students, collects the payments and keeps the record straight.
- Keep 75% of every lesson — 85% past 200 hours
- Students matched to you by a real advisor
- Payouts whenever you ask
- Your own profile, portal and schedule
Vetting is selective — parents trust us with their children. If that’s you, students are waiting.
Every tutor is checked before they meet your child.
Vetting is a process we publish in full — not a badge. Two stages, six checks, in order, every time.
If a tutor doesn’t clear every step, they don’t teach on Trellis. No exceptions, no fast lanes.
Stage 1
Identity & background
- 1
Government ID verified
Identity confirmed against the national register — we know exactly who is teaching.
- 2
Police clearance (optional)
A criminal-record check with the national police service — provided where available, or when we request it.
- 3
Two referee checks
We call both referees ourselves and ask the questions parents would want asked.
Stage 2
Teaching quality & safeguards
- 4
Competency assessment
Subject knowledge is tested against the curriculum — never assumed from a CV.
- 5
A live demo lesson
We watch them teach before they’re approved. Knowing maths isn’t teaching maths.
- 6
Minors’ online lessons recorded
Every online lesson with a child is recorded with consent, and parents can review it.
Meet the Trellis AI Teacher.
Tell it exactly where your child is stuck — “she struggles with longitude and latitude” — and it builds a course around that, delivered in guided sessions your child can take any time. Choose it like any other tutor on Trellis.
Built for your curriculum
Lessons mapped to your child’s national syllabus and exam topics — not a generic chatbot.
Adapts to your child
A placement check finds their level; every session adjusts to what they get right and wrong.
Supervised, always
Parents can review every session, and the same progress dashboard tracks it all.
In beta for Trellis families. Human tutors stay at the heart of Trellis — the AI Teacher is an option families can add, never a replacement.
6 checks
before any tutor teaches — ID to interview
22 subjects & exams
from BECE and WASSCE to French, coding and piano
75–85%
of every lesson goes to the tutor — pay that keeps the best
